Unreal. 1987? What part? Certainly not the disco. The body panels? Who cares. Just plain strange. Maybe it's just the eBay vin i.d. issue.

Self described disco with "the same drivetrain as the legendary Defender 90!" So let's just call it a "defender?" At least they didn't massacre a real defender in the process :-)

Wow, the suck factor is strong with that one.

Question: Why would someone spend $50k on a POS disco with a cheesy "Defender" body when you can buy the real thing for less?

That's like buying a Cobra kit car for more than one of the originals.

Truth! Defender truggies with Zero body panels garner 10X the respect that thing would, regardless of what it could do.

Exactly, I mean if you are going to spend $50k on a POS Rover, it should at least be one of the myriad of otherwise mechanically identical POS Defenders!

I didn't realize they put such nice center consoles in the John Deere Gators.

It is pretty comical to think that there are people out there who think someone will pay for that. Makes you wonder what is going on in their head.

I don't want to be too hypocritical in my criticism, but aren't the seats from a 1995 Honda Civic?

Not that civic seats are bad, but I can think of other, more appropriate ones for that kind of money.

I don't know, I kinda like the overall concept. The bed, the swing open tailgate,
But, I guess I didn't realise how much a conventional RRC or 1 or Def windscreen shape catches my eye, and there is something off about that proportion.

I was thinking the same thing.

At first look absolutely no way at $50k but... there are things that I like on it. Overall a clean execution.

But certain things: The tilt front clip seems to much work for not that much payoff. And the lack of doors looks a little funny and not functionally and how does that big guy get in there?

I would take a Disco chassis - add Defender/Series to the bulkhead and doors - and then remake the tub with tubes and use pan heads screws to attach a Defender/Series skin to it.

What Ralf Sarek did with a disco frame is the way to go.

Attractiveness is not its strong suit. Kind of like buck teeth and a unibrow.

If DAP is specializing in Defender builds, this one looks as though they have Steve Young back at the helm.

Freshly completed… I love spending $50k so I can act as the test pilot and debugger.

Surprised they haven't stepped in here as well in as the first thread on this vehicle.

For $50k, I would have thought the market would be better for a four-door / four seater.
