Pm'd you for info on the codes for the wet okole seat covers. Love them!
Seat covers are here to stay.

Let me see if I can look up my order form. Once made the order, they emailed me the next day and wanted pics of my seats, I really appreciated that attention to detail, that they wanted to make sure they got it right.
I will also point out, they will say that it takes about 4 weeks to get your custom made set. And that's no bullshit either, no matter how many times you call and tell them it's for a magazine feature car, or a show car, or that you will do free advertising for them, or that you'll pay extra... still expect to wait. And when you're ordering, they offer a bunch of extra stuff you can buy, like ass warmers, pockets, stuff like that, whatever you do, get their cleaning kit. You can't just use anything to clean these and if you wait till you get a stain on them to order the kit, guess what? Same 4 week wait.

Glad to help, I think you'll be happy with these... I sure am. Everyone who sees them in my truck loves them.

I'm sure I will! They look great on your truck! Second skin for the classic seats. That headrest contour really sets them off nicely! From a few feet away, you'd think that they were just the factory seats in perfect shape.

Those are seat covers?!?!? That's amazing.

And that's a great price on headliner material. I paid at least double that when I redid mine, but still cheaper than having a shop do it and it's not too difficult.

You'll turn a lot of heads at the show… have a great time!

I was more than happy for folks to come up and check out the inside, not just the outside. I would have propped the hood as well but wanted to display the front end in all its glory.

Well I did get First in class, but sadly not one other Land Rover entered. In fact, only a couple of Land Rover owners at all came out, including Derek (WildBoar) who stopped by in his 109 but I couldn't talk him into registering. I thought for sure with all the enthusiasts (not to mention the LR oriented businesses) in the greater Raleigh area that some more Land Rovers would have shown up to represent the brand...

I did see a Red NAS ST 90 cruise by from across the parking lot, but they didn't even stop.

Sooooo what's next?

Someone said to me the other day, that the tailgate area in my truck should be the new standard by which "clean" RRCs should be judged... I don't know if that is fair, but it occured to me that it would be a really bold move to enter any Classic in a car show and display it with the tailgate open... and after all, my truck has the original 100% intact loadspace cover, a super solid original upper tailgate, brand new seals* and I kind of have a secret obsession with collecting LR "regalia" items like bags. I would also need somewhere to keep the detailing stuff I brought with me, and I didn't want to set up camp behind my vehicle like the poor MG and Triumph owners have to do (since they have no where to hide anything in their cars)

SO when I got the truck reassembled, I grabbed some of my stuff and asked my wife to arrange it, as she is better at that type of thing, and she loves to participate in my projects. I think it was cool without going over the top, and it totally served a purpose as I had the big tote bags full of towels and detailer spray, and the little portfolio bag has all my car show registration packet stuff in it. The matching CD wallet was empty, naturally as this was a non-changer '95 SWB, I will admit I brought it along just to show off. I had to leave about 15 other LR bags at home as they didn't really fit in the display, but I am glad you said something, because I now remember that I actually do own a picnic basket setup... hmmm

------ Follow up post added May 18th, 2015 01:32 PM ------

brand new seals*

the Britpart tailgate aperture seal (that is a couple weeks old) has massively split apart in the top corners, so addressing that issue is next. RN says it is absolutely NLA in Genuine form.

Also need to replace all the tail light bulbs and finish up my homemade gasket project, and a few other small items. For example, I want to have the A, B, and C pillars rewrapped in black vinyl.
