I'm not reusing the factory nut plates, but I am reinstalling front flaps and have new Genuine brackets, and stainless hardware... in fact it's all done.

You can see I don't have the front fender splash liners reinstalled, because I have new front fender reflectors ordered from the UK...

Used dumdum around the shank of the bolt to seal from the inside and it worked very well.

Work of art in progress. And really appreciate you documenting the work as it will certainly support others trying to save their RRCs such as myself when I get back home with lots of time on my hands.

Making progress now, still have interior and exterior details to finish up but having truly addressed (and taken care of) any existing rust and done what I can in the way of preventative measures is a really good feeling.

These are the original wheels all cleaned up and some street-friendly 235/70R16 tires.

New front end pieces really make a difference! Great idea on yellow fogs. You might want to consider using covers on them as they are prone to chips / broken lens. Pic was after unloading from container - first moments in Switzerland.

Yeah I do plan on using the covers that came with, same ones you have there. Hella does make clear shields as well...

Im in a similar ballpark with my 95 lwb, begun two yrs ago during a mothers day down pour, i hydroplaned and slapped the jersey wall at 45 mph... just 2 yrs earlier I had completed a custom engine, trans and t case renewal/upgrade built so i considered it to be worth repairing the accident damage.
this led to a down hill inspection of all sheet metal and fabrication/replacement of any signs of rust.
2 yrs later and it is almost ready for a new coat of paint....
further mechanical and suspension upgrades are in progress as well, an overview of the eas and other interior bits too.
I consider it a partial restoration...
keep up the classics, they are becoming scarce.... special attention to lwb models.

Good point which I keep forgetting as the Swiss don't allow them from what my dealer tells me. Agreed it is a great way way to protect the lens yet still be able to easily them. The yellow fogs just really look cool!

It is thought that the NAS front fender reflectors are no longer available... but I found some.

Well I was... but the tail light lens gaskets have me foiled. I ordered a pair from Rovers North and when only one arrived I was informed that it was the last one in existence. I would have to wait for Heritage Parts to make more.

Sorry to hear, yet, also interesting that these are the type of parts potentially being available under Heritage.

Hmmm...I was going to ask if you've found a substitute for that dry foam shit.

Also, in that same neighborhood, what bulb are you using for that small side marker light?
I haven't checked mine in forever, and I found that 3/4 are burned out on 2 trucks.
I just put in some Sylvania 13v/4.3W bulbs with a liberal coating of vaseline on the bulb/socket.

I am doing the Crown14 screw replacement therapy today and checking all bulbs.

Played with the autoscrub sponges a little, it's weird "claybaring" a vehicle without any clay. It's just... rubber.
