Yeah, I did take note of those...

I'll take 2 sets!

I decided to put mudflaps back on the truck after all.

And I began working with the 3M seam sealer (brushing). They suggest it be between 70-85 degrees F when applied, when I was working on the cowl last week it was in the 30s and I had to heat cure it. This time it was 84 so none of that.

The apps for using this forum are a joke. Some days they turn my photos, some days they don't. Right now, it won't even let me upload.

I need to drop the tank while I'm replacing the RH mudflap bracket, but I just remembered it's full. So gonna put the brakes on that till I burn some more fuel off. I need to get some more waxoyl too I think...

In the back I have the subwoofer/amp reinstalled, just waiting on the new upper tailgate aperture seal to get here from the UK.

Yep. Both the original J bolt and the long stud are too short to run anything but a shitty little Group 24 battery. Which is not cool. As if I had the original battery hold down bar anyhow. I was running an off brand Group 34 (about an inch taller) before all this with a bungee cord. Now with this little tab I will be using the long stud, bar, and j hook setup from a Discovery II (keeping it all factory, even that tab is a left over D90 part) and a Group 34 Odyssey battery.

I can't remember exactly, I had it plated before I realized it wasn't gonna be reused on the Defender it came from.

^^ Jeebus, that fuel filter door looks awesome! ^^

I cant remember how many times I've told someone "Now, you'll have to drill out the rusty little screws or use some vise grips to get them out!"

It looked amazing to start with (remember the beginning of this thread) but I decided to repaint it anyhow and go back with stainless hardware. Getting carried away now, LOL

These went on nicely... I felt a little guilty putting NOS (and NLA) tabs on a tailgate that isn't 100% but I got over it.

Haha! I'll bet! ;-) Gorgeous build!!!

And speaking of those tabs... of all the things people have fabbed a replacement piece for, not even because it was broken (although most of these are, especially mine!), but rather just to be of better quality, why haven't these tabs been done by somebody?

Agreed! I'd buy a set or two. Wish I had more time on my hands.
