Very nice. Not too much chrome, yet, just enough to make it stand out. The RRC really is a timeless design.

I need to put a winch on the front of mine for around the property when we back and while functionable, hate to loose the classic front look.

Crown14, can the heatgun treatment help RRC bumper endcaps?
I have some that are not broken; just old and "crystallized"...

Nope. It won't work on Defender fender flares either.

I kind of like the fuzzy texture, just dont get wax on them, or touch them with a microfiber or terry towel!

Very cool!
Again thx on the tank recall info-called LRNA and sure enough recall still open on mine.
What is funny is my VIN according to LR shows my RRC as a '95.
Told them that build date was 10/93 and was told it didn't matter as according to LR database it is a '95.

Recall was for '93-'95 RRCs, as well as D1s.

Not much to share today, image of touching up the cargo floor. Any remaining freckles visible in this shot are glue over spray from when the B pillar vinyl and rear wheel arch carpets were placed in the factory. Next will be sealing the gap where the floor panel meets the body sides so it can't trap any moisture in the future. Also sealing off some unused holes in the body sides (what were they thinking leaving those open???) And the mounting holes for the CD changer bracket, which I won't be reinstalling since there is no CD changer.

I used POR-15 some years back in my Olds, and now the trunk floor looks like this:

So... hopefully they have changed their formula or something. But I followed the directions to the letter. The worst part was it was several years before I realized the rust was still there under the POR-15 because it was hiding it, if it hadn't been rusting under there all that time I could have salvaged it. Now the while trunk pan has to be replaced.

Note the correct, sealing type lens screws... I got a demo pack. I guess the pre-order list starts with you, Jeff. How many sets do you want?

Are those NOS lenses or did you clean up your old ones? if old, what did you use to restore?

Speaking of old, nice Olds!

will be interested in your review. personally like claying with Griot's clay and speedshine as the lubricant. the panels on the RRC are so easy doesn't take much time at all. reviews of the product are pretty good though.

I thought long and hard about buying NOS lenses, as I have NOS front turn signals to be installed... and I could sell these cleaned up and polished ones to recoup some of the costs, but the price on the tail lenses is just astronomical and these are in really REALLY good shape. I scrubbed them very thoroughly inside and out in a solution of dish soap and laundry detergent (lots of bubbles help) and then polished them with Turtle Wax headlight stuff... which is the absolute best stuff for this that I have found in many years of trying different products. Using a Mothers Powerball Mini makes it go quickly, the only hard part is getting the compound out of the screw holes when you are done (q-tips)
