Correct. I can get a hold of that facility and will do so tomorrow. It will turn up...don't worry. It's just growing pains combined with the holiday season.

Just curious but doesn't the $65 GM fuel pump swap work with the plastic tanked RRC ? I did that on a couple of my D1's and I felt the pump was superior to the rover one I removed.

Just ask for the fuel pump for a 96 Impala SS. There are articles on other forums for pointers on how not to blow yourself up.

It's alive!! New fuel pump and relays and she fired right up! Put tranny in drive and she moved forward, put in reverse and she moved backwards. Looking forward to getting her on the road later this week. Need to sort out the ABS pump first and get my new tires from Chip.

Not sure, it goes into drive and reverse and moves in both directions. Will know more once I get it out of the driveway. Cross fingers!

Nice purchase… I'm a sucker for a silver classic!
Get AAA+ and start driving but stay within 100 miles.

It might be okay, but a lot of times transmissions don't slip until they are hot.

Yeah. My truck would back itself out of the garage (barely) but after that it was useless.

Thanks! I like the silver too, and the dark interior. I have AAA and will take it for a spin to check it out later this week.

If it slips when it gets hot or doesn't work out I plan to swap transmission/converter. I want to get the breaks sorted out first though so it will stop!

When I talked to the seller, he said he didn't have a problem with the tranny when he parked it, that his son mentioned at one time when he drove it prior to him taking it over that it was hard to get into reverse once or twice, but seller never had that issue. Could have been just been inaccurate info from the person that passed along lead. Plus the seller had parked it for years, and really didn't have any interest in remembering.
