My '95 LWB has paint issues on the bonnet and roof as you know. I'll second Chip's recommendation to hold off on throwing away the ABS pump as, it can be rebuilt, and you never know when you may need a spare on hand... By the way, how's the rear crossmember feel, is it solid or is it rusting from the inside?
Thanks, yes the paint came back nicely although the top and rear door will eventually need repainting. I'm thinking the abs pump could be a bad ground, but I found two back ups just incase. Rear crossmember on it seems fine compared to a lot of classics I looked at. Took the fuel pump out, it was shot. The plastic tubing was done, I grabbed it once it was out and it fell apart. Waiting on USPS to deliver new one and should have her running hopefully soon.

If it's solid, you should consider enlarging the weep holes so you don't end up with rot from the inside like so many do. I'm planning on replacing my rear cross member in the spring, as the more I poke at it, the more it falls apart...;(

Will do. There's a UK firm, YRM, I believe that sells a direct fit replacement with all the mount points for less than 100 pounds (excluding VAT and shipping), but my local garage can fab the same thing, plus add additional goodies.

I'm planning on upfitting with RockWare on my RRC next year and was going to have them do it...

USPS has to be the worst out of all carriers. Ordered my new fuel pump a week ago yesterday and it's not arrived although I paid for priority 2 day. If I track it, it says expected delivery date 12/4, and tracking still shows Arkansas although after spending a couple hours on the phone today the USPS says they don't know where it is. From here on out I'll pay double for FedEx. I hate being at the mercy of a delivery.

Accidents happen, my experiences with fedex have been worse than other alternatives. I predominantly use USPS, in the past year I have had only one lost package by them, and actually we aren't sure it's lost as the claim is under review.

More than likely a UPS employee did not get it on a UPS plane in time and your package was delayed. There is no way the USPS can deliver to you what they don't have. It'll turn up...maybe on Sunday. USPS has been delivering seven days a week (for the holidays) since the beginning of November.

Sunday delivery is only for certain markets.

Fedex and UPS raise prices every year. The big problem with them this year is that they are going to dimensional pricing.

USPS got in over their heads with their partnership with Amazon. Even Amazon acknowledges that. They all make mistakes sure but USPS knows no more than what I can get from my tracking number online.

You are just uninformed. USPS can handle the volume. It's the partnership with UPS to get their planes off the ground in time that's becoming an issue. This is why UPS lost the Amazon account to USPS. Their dismal performance last holiday season did not help. They were unprepared for the volume.

Uninformed is right. Can't blame anyone but their customer service.

My suggestion is to call direct to the post office in Little Rock tomorrow. Calling the departure or destination offices won't get you very far.

USPS is not the only co. that scans your package and the info has to be shared and passed along.

In other words. If you are planning to ship anything...this holiday season especially! Get on it!

Did that, the office in little rock claimed they wouldn't have scanned it, as it was likely at the sort facility in little rock. No consumer phone number to sort facility. Have to go through consumer affairs now Monday. Maybe it will come up in radar soon...
