Trying to get the tailgate right. Had some stud plates fabled up for the wires.

Thanks. Shoestring budget, lots of horsetrading and help from friends..... none of whom understand a Land Rover addiction. If I hear "sell it and buy an old chevy" one more time I'll pull an Archer style rampage.

Any thoughts on the seats? I'll try to get better shots but theyre Mercedes smart car seats and way more comfortable than standard defender seats and way less expensive. Since I was relocating the battery anyway, thought I'd give them a shot.

10 minutes into the first drive.....

Output shaft seal at the back of the TC failed and filled the handbrake drum with goo. When it got hot, it locked up the rear brake. I thought I had blown the rear end or the transfer case as I was doing about 45mph at the time. Parts on the way, should be simple.

Bummer! Such a nice truck. I hope it's as simple as it sounds. Probably a little more tricky than when my handbrake shattered at 55 while towing my Sea-Doo and locked. Thank goodness it gave right away and merely sounded like a lawn more running over gravel. Good luck with the fix and I hope it's trouble-free from here on out.

The engine was stored dry for about 3 years....I'm finding a lot of oil seeping out of everywhere. I think I'll start at the top and work my way down.

Truck is back on the road. After market heater blows nice and hot. Rear end still doesn't sound right so I'll need to tear into that.
