First cap I did was almost a perfect match... so I'm happy. Now, if medical bills weren't in the way I would start on the other set, think I've got a powder coat that matches the sparkle silver pretty close.

Refinished ski jump and shifter trim should be in soon.

You did your own ski jump? Nice. And you're a smarter man for concurrently doing all your trim, especially the shifters. Can't wait to see. Way more than I bargained for. I did one of mine and lam'd another. Lam was easier. Haha. My stain job turned out well, but I jumped the gun on the cure by what looks like a week! ;-) Although my other original panels are pretty dark, I should have done the shifters as they look ridiculously light now, lol. Third truck is still waiting or some love, but not really needing it yet.

We have a local shop here in Nashville that restores a lot of Rolls, Bentleys and Jags, his wood guy is about half the price of Madera... I sent if off a while ago, but he got sick and then Amelia Island Concours have delayed the process a little.

Does anyone know if the newer wheel caps will fit the older wheels? Was thinking about ordering some new ones for my TWR wheels...

It took waaaaaay too many rattle cans of "chrome"-ish paint to get it even halfway right.

I used early US spec black wheel caps that say Range Rover on them in silver.... looks really good on my black TWR's ( I will get a pic)

My only complaint is that the old trim was a little thicker and the window switches stick out a little bit.

Looks good. My only advise is to paint the lugs. Carefully install them after, and touch up if needed. Use one of those soft felt sockets if you must.
