Soooo, I don't normally do build threads anymore but figured why the hell not... I'm excited to be building this for a good friend and a huge supporter of the shop. We are starting with an ugly 1995 but it is super straight and really clean. It's still on the air suspension which was a huge bonus, we both love the set up... The truck will be a daily driver and goal is to haul an adventure trailer and overall his trial rig. Planing on using a 5.3 LS gen four with a 6l80e with a 1.4 transfercase... I will be posting updates and hope to have this truck delivered for our third year anniversary to him! Let the rover porn begin, the first 24hrs is in the books... We started with breakdown, and pulled the sand blaster out to spot blast all the surface rust areas and to treat before moving into paint.

It is nice to be doing a build that makes a little less sense but will be customized for everything I've decided I wanted over the last couple years in an overland/daily... I am excited to let my furry children make this one their own and put excessive miles on it :)

Sorry, so I got a new phone and the defender source app doesn't work on it... here are some pics, motor will be coming out this week, LS should be landing as well! Will make for an interesting week... Phil, this is the truck... only two rough spots a quarter size hole in the drivers floor pan and a 2" by 2" square in the crossmember... and just for shits and giggles, that's my 93 with a 550 hp ls3 on the Dyno....

I love build threads!

Looking great, perfect color for a RRC.

Here it is on the lift with some bolt on bits, here is the 5.3 broken down. We will be pulling the heads, vvt, dod, putting a mild cam and high flow heads along with LS2 intake
