Bill, let me know if you need a hand with that as I know it's too much to handle by yourself without messing up the newly covered headliner.

If you have not picked up new headliner fabric, I had really good results with material from WLS Headliners.

I don't think there will be any surprises. I found a really great shop that is mere steps away. The owner sent one of his guys with me in the white pickup along with his Maryland transporter tag to come to my house. Slapped the plate on it and he drove it to the shop. I hope!
I'm having them do an alignment and the a arm ball joint.

All the fittings came loose easily and were not rusted in any way. Underneath it is like a 2-3 year old truck.

Nice...gotta love a used truck from the southwest.

Much better than Connecticut or Mass...

Legal and roadworthy, 'cept it flunked emissions just now. Not a surprise it feels like it is missing one cylinder.

Suppose plugs/wires would resolve? Suspect could be original wires.

That's what it took for my '95 to pass VA emmissions. @2500RPM, CO first blew ~3.8, then 1.2 (still too high in VA), then finally passed with 0.04.

The t case shift bracket for the slushbox fits the existing hole with plenty of swing to lock the center diff. If you have the proper parts it is very clean.[/QUOTE]

Is this what you mean by the "shift bracket"? Sorry, but I'm just not familiar with this swap. The other issue is that I'm doing an R-380/LT-230 install and don't know if that changes things. The transmission and transfer case are mounted and in place but before I start cutting the center console, I wanted to see if I could take something off the zf/Borg warner...put it on the R-380/LT-230 and save myself the fear of ruining a near perfect center console.

Thanks
Frank

Oh. Yeah, it does. RRC was, to my knowledge, only sold here in the USA with an auto box. They still sold the manual in the UK thru the model runout. The R380 wasn't installed until 1994.5-95 model year. before then it was the LT77s and Borg Warner TC. The LT230 was last used in 1988 with the LT77. You may be able to find a proper console for the combo you're doing on ebay.uk

The center console or something else? I have grey center console from an '88 in ok condition minus the cubby & shifter boot. It's an auto but maybe a better starting point….
