As someone who forked over $1200 for a 95 lwb windscreen and searching forever for it, I feel your pain.

Oh that is unfortunate. That description is starting to ring a bell now. Wonder if my two door range rovers have that glass?

I found a pretty good selection in the uk. But the shipping will be expensive, but worth it. The main thing is, if I wait for the windshield.....something so fragile....I have a bad feeling about me receiving it....aka....snap, crackle, pop....then having to send it back, waiting even longer for them to try again? I presume a risk I will have to take?

Possible measurement of those older rovers windshields? I might be able to make something fit.

Go pick up a salvage screen from a Pre airbag RRC. The internal frame of the D1 was RRC. Be shocked if it doesn't work.

I've ordered D90 windscreens from the UK and they made it just fine. Of course they aren't curved.

Funny, I just crushed one of those yesterday.
Don't worry, there's more where it came from.

Not sure what you mean by "internal frame" but I don't think it's going to be the same. One way or the other microcat should settle it? If not, I would call Pilkington.

So, I own a 1991 RRC and the screen I got for the disco second gen almost matches up completely with the RRC. It is pretty much the same, all the way down how the seals look. I know Atlantic British categorizes the bottom seal with the 94 + discos and the 89 93 RRC.

So I can order the pre 94 windshield, the seal that goes around, and the little finisher, total price + shipping = 350$. off of Rimmer Brothers site. Both the windshield and seal are aftermarket, but whatever works, works.

I'll try to order at the end of the week.

Or you could just get Trevor at Rovahfarm to get it for you.

The price with shipping seems really low.

That is was I thought, too. On orders outside the Uk they don't add VAT and the seal was more expensive than the window.

It is possible, that the shipping could be more, but we will see.

The internal panel structure of the D1 was the RRC. External body panels didn't match.

It was like 60 bucks, which still sounded too cheap for me.....I agree. I could send em a message and double check. I'm trying to source one in the states, but no one messages me back. The glass guy I bought the disco windshield from needs some type of windshield number, but not the part number. Something about domestic windshield (DM) and foreign windshield(FW). I'm looking into, but can't find anything.

Talking winshield finisher seal information @ Atlantic British

From the looks of it, there is one used belt in the parts chest, one new, and one empty bag for one. Is there an easy way to check it?

Thanks!

This one came this way, but also I have a pile of spare parts in my range rover. I don't have room for a parts car. Lol

Also, I'm looking for the windshield Finisher/seal all the way around. If anyone knows anything, let me know.

The pre airbag bits are the way to go. Have you picked up a salvage yard screen from a pre airbag RRC?

Turns out that won't work, due to it being a 92/93.....
The finisher is one piece, the windshield is bigger, and is held in with a rubber seal.....

There are no nearby junk yards except for junction 3 hours away one way, and I work a lot. Not to mention finding one of them in the junk yard...... I have a 91 RRC. Is it considered a non airbag? The disco glass I have now measures out almost the same...

Yeah, I emailed them to figure out shipping for every thing. You need both the finisher and seal.
