1992 d90 Rebuild

I semi retire in December this year and as it was my intention to rebuild a d90, I have started collecting parts. The build will take place at a good friends 4x4 servicing workshop, were I am allowed a corner to work in.....so far we have a Richards Galvanised 300 tdi d90 chassis, a brand new still in its box td5 bulkhead, genuine new old stock 300tdi seatbox, new genuine standard height springs and boge shocks. Also waiting in the wings is an all new "catflap" lift up top tailgate sourced from all over from old stock parts. Then the hunt for a donor 90 started.....my friend was offered a petrol engined 2.5 litre, 4 cylinder, D90 van body for silly money and he immediately thought of me, thinking it would be an early 90 due to the petrol engine. It turned out to be of 1992 vintage, with straight panels, a rotten bulkhead etc. it must be one of the last ever 4 cyl, petrol models.....with a UK Gallon of petrol costing aound 11 US dollars it no surprise it was for sale a it probably only did about 18 mpg....

Photos to follow!!

Sounds like a fun project... Make sure you start a build thread, so we can all enjoy the project.
