1988 RRC "Daphne"

Hello all!

After being a long time lurker and seeing all the RRC's coming to here, I've finally registered.
This is Daphne. A 1988 RRC which I bought almost two years ago from board member Mudsux (aka Forest). She's the perfect replacement for Audrey… my first RRC I bought in 2003. She too was a silver 1988 but I could not keep up her rust.

When I picked up Daphne, she was a solid candidate for a rolling restoration. Major projects this year have been top end rebuild, rust repair & prevention, and full brakes. Will post more about those and other things I've done plus projects to come.

This is her in NYC on our drive up to Maine from Florida when I bought her in Jan '13.

Looks good. There's a silver RRC here in the West Village NYC that never really moves (usually parked over on Bank or near there) that looks just like yours. I thought you were him for a second. Welcome. Cool shot. Looks like it was taken on Jane St.

Good eyes! I was staying at the Jane Hotel. I had two days of work in NY on my way transporting her to her new home. We use to live 8 Street between 5th & 6th.

Coming down this weekend. I'll look for the other silver classic & maybe pick up a few parts. j/k of course.
