1984 110 Double Cab 300TDi RHD

I have just imported a 110 double cab and I am getting started on it. So here is the start of my Build-up Thread. Can't wait to get started!

All 4 doors are completely gone... Gonna need a frame swap eventually...

Probably a new roof... gonna have to look at that one to make sure...

Is the 300 in good shape?

Looks like a project! Whether it's fun or not, I guess time will tell.

Dude, totally awesome. Subscribe! I would totally drive that until it falls apart. I made the mistake of rebuilding mine as soon as I got it and it's been almost 2 years now and I have driven it a total of like 50 miles.

Ok, so outline your plan and a timeline. I'm like Forrest - I'd just drive it for a while before tearing into it. Or is this going to be a rolling restoration? But I guess it depends on what you are going to do with it - it's looks ready to go wheeling with, not a grocery getter.

Rolling restoration for sure...
  1. First is the doors. Gotta get those fixed for our Colorado winters...
  2. After that will probably be the roof... whether or not I replace it is still up for grabs...
Then I will probably drive it for a while... get some money saved up for the frame swap... then onto the body work most likely... fun fun

------ Follow up post added January 5th, 2011 08:13 AM ------

Oh... and first thing will be to get a spare tire and carrier... Forgot to mention that one ... and kinda important

------ Follow up post added January 5th, 2011 08:16 AM ------

I will be flying to Nashville on Friday, Jan 7th and driving back to Colorado from there... so HONK if you see me on the road

I got to drive this truck when it was in VA and I couldn't believe the power the TDI had. 70mph on route 15 going uphill blew me away.

Doug was probably trying to keep up with me testing Barry's truck's limits.
