Confused. A friend bought that '97 project or something?

I am, for the time being. I missed getting it painted, so I had it powder coated flat black. I kinda like the black hood look, I got the idea from some of the buses at school.
Its going to have a tire on it anyway.

A couple more things

Mocked some stuff up today.

Truck is at a friends shop for the summer.

Tried fitting the aftermarket wheels spats I got, not sure if I like the look of them. Especially with the black hood and wheels.

Started putting the pipes on the engine, I had to go green, so to speak.

I was a bit concerned about a piece of metal I found in the oil pan, turns out it was probably from the oil dip stick assembly which was loose.

Man my phone takes shitty pictures!

Roll Bar and sliders

I started with the roll bar today, and took a look at he sliders. The 110 sliders seem to stick out a bit further than the ones on my 90.

I have to make some visible progress to inspire myself.

Anyone know what bolts and screws you need to put the wings on?
I have the bulkhead bolts already.

The combination of only having 2 hours to work in teh shop and my ADD has me all over the place!

Mo rollbar pics

Rollbar is mocked up to the truck.

Question about the oil cooler lines, One was a bit kinked at the engine side so I heated it and bent it back. Seems like it worked, but was wondering if i'm asking for problems.

It's a LR cage that's made for the double cab. It's supposed to have a 45 that goes to the back of the bed, but I didn't get that part of it.

Does the cage tie into the frame? I talked to someone with a tomb raider double cab and they said the cage had no tie in.

In the front it uses the bulkhead brackets like a NAS cage, in the rear I;m going to have something made.

seems odd they wouldn't tie the cage in the back. It looks like SD so it would make sense to make it functional and not just cosmetic.

It may be this cage was only on the Tomb Raider truck, which may have been more of a show deal?

I'm not sure its SD, it had LR stickers and part numbers, and seemed a little less heavy than my 90 cage.
