Thats because your sender had me tell him what to put on your shipping manifest.

A fellow enthusiast just had a used tdi engine turned around and sent back to the uk and called me for help after the fact.

Botched rear cross member off

I cut the rear cross member off, I though someone was smuggling dope in the frame when some grass came out of the frame. Cut the wires by accident, yes I am an idiot.

picture 3 was me trying to remove the splined shaft to swap it into the 2000 110 which has the other shaft.

Picture 4 I was wondering what that is?

Picture 6 will the brake junction(?) stay there for LHD?

Pic 4 is the starter solinoid
Pic 6, yes it stays there. All the lines from there back are the same. The ones on the newer trucks are mounted to the frame, not the bulkhead, but that is where they are.

Engine arrived today

Engine came today.

I'm a bit concerned about the Radiator and intercooler.

I'm being accused of taking over the shop (notice the wall decorations)

I don't see what the problem is when you buy a 'take out' engine you get the part which came with the vehicle. I see alot of 300tdi vehicles on the road with radiators worse than that in the UK. If you don't like it replace it. Did Dan say he'd provide you with a new Rad, I doubt it.

I don't see what the problem is either, I just wouldn't use that radiator. I'm not reading anything into the commentary here.

I don't believe I mentioned any names or placed blame, just wanted some opinions.

There were a few things wrong the delivery and I dealt with it privately.

He's a big boy, and he can defend himself.

So just to be clear, by your definition a complete engine would be OK as long as everything is there? Blown engine/Blown tranny/Rusty Rad. "if you don't like it, replace it"

I see a lot of rusty Dodge Darts driving around in the states, but i'm not going to pack them up and ship them to the UK!

Point taken.

I personally would never send a blown anything. But if you asked him to a take out unit then I'm sure he would have driven the truck he broke before he sold u the engine.

WW2 jeeps were gpw's and were made by multiple contractors. Thats were the term Jeep came from. I have a gpw that belongs to Julian in my barn- actually made by Ford.
Faux nothing- real deal.
