1951 NAS 80" build-up

This was a basket case bought 5 years ago. Work has been stop-start since half a dozen other projects intervened, but there's a visceral connection to 80" Rovers. Hoping to get it running and driving before spring.

Objective evolved from building a 'special' (ARBs, lifted, etc.) to 'preservation' (but not restoration). 2.25 rather than finding a 1600, and IIA axles also. Challenges have been steering (decided to stick with original for now), clutch pedal (preserving mechanical linkage and through-the-floor pedals). Haven't addressed brake master cylinder (under floor) or throttle linkage yet. Exmoor seats on order and using LR Fasteners complete body kit with all the correct sherardized Whitworth bolts, etc.

Thought the project might be interesting (1951 was first year of US imports?). I'm itching to get it together.

BTW frame should be green I think. Check James Taylor's book to be sure.

Looking forward to seeing this one. I wanted to do a series 1 before settling on my 109" project.
