Another addition to the family. I got this in the UK last year, took bit to find a good one, and it had to be a 3.5 V8 as not too many left these days and even less in 110 HCPU.
With 80,000 miles on the clock, it looked like a good buy so I bought it. I had it serviced in the UK, ( theres a follow on from that ) and it got a respray also, ( could have been a little better Finish ) but I can live with the few faults I found.
8 months later it arrives in Australia, very pleased, and then the work starts. Chassis had slight surface rust, so cleaned primed sealed and painted. New springs and shocks front and rear.
Serviced, oil from the Uk was like milk, the garage I use over here uses a oil thats also got some other thicker stuff in it, it now runs a lot better, brakes checked etc, new distributor fitted and old wiring taken out and the rest made good.
Since then have fitted XZL's on 1 ton deep dish Genuine rims. New rear lights, and mounts, Mil Spec front bumper, sourced extended fuel neck filler, and fitted correct metal PETROL ONLY BADGE. New Genuine Fuel Cap
Front and rear Heritage mudflap, Patriot wing top plate., upgrade light bulbs. Genuine front light guards, hood bows with correct nuts and bolts
Still to fit, when I get the time, Genuine period rear light guards, Exmoor Mohair canvas, Escape seat covers, genuine period mudflap, I am also going to replace all the dash trim, and door cards. I have a genuine spare bonnet mount kit, but in 2 minds as to fit this. I am sure they will be more things that will need doing, ah there is new rear cross member is on its way.
