110 double cab 200tdi

Hello Folx!
I am getting this build thread started although the frame up build has been going on for a few years now.

here is the work I've done already,

I acquired a 300tdi ROW 110 frame that needed a new outrigger and rear cross-member. IN 2010 I ordered these parts from Rovers north and had them welded in. with the rear cross-member I made a jig that ensured every angle was level and correct. I used the land rover defender FSM to get the measurements for the frame. I cut off the engine mounts and welded on the proper 200tdi mounts (with everything I made 40 or so measurements before letting the new metal in). I mounted the motor and lt77 transmission and

right now I am working on the Bulkhead. I got a NAS left hand drive bulkhead. The tunnel portion was different so I drilled out the spot welds and cut off the tunnel part from another Row bulkhead and mated it to the new bulkhead. I've etch-primed the bulkhead and it is awaiting a coat of sealant primer and paint. I'm going with the Nara bronzer color.

My goal is to go on an expedition later this summer with the truck... so I'm quitting my job in a week and working on the 110 full time, hopefully this thread will help keep my ass working on it and get it done soon.

i am having a bit of trouble figuring out the 200tdi main wiring loom.
The harness I got does not have any flashers or relays (its the glass fuse type); also the connection from the motor does not seem to match up with any connection on the main loom.
i would appreciate any assistance with figuring this out.

Not sure what is up with the wiring. There are only a few wires from the engine, so it is pretty straightforward. Do you have the wiring diagram?

What's the main loom off of?
My 200tdi loom plugged straight into a 1985 petrol loom.

almost done with stage one 'PBR truck'

I figures our what the wire problem was. The plug wires that go to the engine harness were cut off and spliced with other color wires. I have the main things wired up. I do not know which relays to put into the plug spaces though. I have been able to identify most relay plugs (starter relay, brake relay...) but I would like to know wich relays to put in there.
the main loom also had a diferent alternator plug sloppily spliced in (looks like the 3 wire 2.5 NA plug) that I cut off at the junction.
the only thing I could not get to work when I tested the loom for continuity and hooked it up to a 12v supply were the the turn signals. I am missing the hazard switch so I will report back once I have gotten one installed.

I got my new rad from rovers north... so I am ready to drive it to the dmv once i drop it in.

I am currently working on the T-frames and rear tub. then I have to fab a rear bulkhead and put my single cab roof on a "metal stretcher"

The 200tdi wiring loom is very simple.

First, you must understand that there are two completely separate wiring systems for the vehicle. One is for the engine. The other is for everything else. There is (and should be) absolutely no connection to the glass fuses for the engine wiring.

The engine wiring consists of the following:

1. +12V hot straight from the battery.
2. Fuel cutoff solenoid. This needs +12V to start the engine and keep it running.
3. Starter solenoid (or relay if so equipped)
4. Ground (obviously)
5. Glow plug wire (attaches to all 4 glow plugs in series).

That's it. Let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thanks Sonoro! I have the engine part of the loom figured out. Its the rest of the loom that is giving me a headache. I have a temporary ignition switch wired up until I get the proper one in the mail. It was not too difficult to wire up and start and stop the motor.
