Unlock the Tech Articles section..

Nothing new has been added in over a decade. The site's search function has been and continues to be abysmal. Why not allow the tech articles portion be the "how to" library ?

Cheers

Part of the reason we added the google search bar. vBulletin's native search is not great and google's will allow you to search for more. The tech articles are still all available on the home page. Are you not able to read them?

They are all very out of date. Nothing was ever updated after the last owner took over. He promised a revamp and it did not happen. The problem is finding someone with the desire to put in the work. Is Doug volunteering?

The point is what is being done with these trucks has changed quite a bit in the past decade and that section has little value. Many here would put in the effort to write and post new articles there

Like a tech exchange program? More what we would need is anyone that might be interested in vetting the articles that could be submitted. I get there is a disclaimer on the other articles but its good to know there is someone to properly curate the info.

While you don't own vBulletin, you own the data. Fix it or pay me or someone else to fix it.

I'm all for this as Doug suggested, in fact I believe it was JimC that had been talking about a tech "Wiki" section...which would make infinitely more sense than the convoluted message board/threads under the "Technical Discussions" subforum. In fact, the tech Wiki would pretty much be hosted anywhere even separately, or if the Tech Articles can be structured by category/subcategory would be fine as well.

Be nice, questions most of the time on land rovers end up getting answered on UK forums,
Never knew there was any here.

When om617 concerns need looking up it's easypeasy, sometimes wish this site was as easy, plenty of info but really have to look through soooooooo much to get a so so answer.

Please do not start scattering vital aspects of this community to an unproven startup. Imho, at least one principal of that other site's crew is completely unsuited to the task of running or moderating a community & I would have to be skeptical about any of the rest of them given that they were willing to take him on. Long live DSource!
