RURR suggestion

Why don't we have a forum main thread for RURR...it will help to catalog all the requests in one place, rather than all over - and it will help folks to see them easily.

My suggestion would be to put it in the Non Technical Section as a main forum entry.

Thoughts?

I'll spread the word and see if the powers that be want this. If you are actively looking for RURR opportunities, isn't searching for "RURR" getting you the threads?

Yeah but then you keep jumping around the threads...I just think it will be easier for people to see, and offer their help if they can scan an entire listing, rather than skipping around searching.

Someone could just post up "dc to Raleigh on November 18" if they are willing to take anything on a trip...and everyone knows. Or "need help DC to Miami"

Better is good.

That makes complete sense. Can't believe this hasn't been suggested before.

I have a set of sliders in Texas that I've had a challenge of getting up to me here in Charlotte because they're unboxed. If anyone is passing through that way, I'd appreciate the RURR.

Just posted a RURR in the wanted section. And since this will start yet another obsession, a RURR thread would probably very useful, just in case I'm not the only OCD'er here

I'd rather see a RURR sub-forum, under Classifieds seems a likely place, rather than a RURR thread. I think a thread would get too confusing trying to keep track of who's going where when.

I can see it being useful for sure. I also witness users here who can't post in the correct section(s) as it is, so I guess my only hope is that if it's added, people will actually find it and use it. I suggest people who are requesting RURR put WANTED and the waypoints (and even a date) in their title and those who are offering, to put DRIVING and the waypoints and date(s) or something like that in the title so that others can find what they need a bit quicker. This is a perfect example of how a RURR thread should be started as a driver.

Here are my routing options I'll select the route that gives the best RURR possibilities:

I plan on leaving either on the 15th or 16th. Should arrive in NYC on the 16th or 17th.

I'll be in a uhaul with a car hauler so I would prefer not to go too far off the interstate to pick something up.
