Name change to the classifieds section?

Might I suggest that we change the name of the classifieds section to...

Shaynes too quick for you classifieds section

Or

The rover shop's personal concierge shopping channel

Or

Shayne has too much time on his hands shopping section

Maybe someone else can come up with a better name?

I actually laughed when he bought the RRC for $500 from here then pulled the rear hatch and put it up for sale here for $500. Shayne - give a little back, buddy!

We should have an auction platform to give the greatest value to the sellers and also ensure that the items for sale are available to more people.

The rear hatch is the only thing left good on that truck...it had been through 3 or 4 people and the carcass had been all. It picked clean...and I was surprised it was soooo clean, notice it hasn't sold.. And I'm always open to offers...... And from memory I paid more than $500 for it.. And it had to get transported here..

Change the "rules" so that an OP can list it as an auction with a 7 day time limit or buy it now price.

At the bare minimum I think all "licking" should be in public on the thread and not via PM. leaves no question of ownership. Time stamped.

We should develop a handicap system to make it fair for all. Disable the rover shop's account from posting in for sale threads for 10 minutes after they're originally opened. Oh and disable his account from sending them PM's as well within that 10 minute period.

haha sorry - too soon?

First of all a single item ad eliminates the whole debacle about licked, sold etc etc..no disputes about I took that and not this etc etc... And secondly, I can't seem to get more than one attachment per post.. Some bitches are just never happy...ya bitch about this and then bitch about that...

Re-read your post and I'm guessing you are talking about the rear hatch price... If I found $100 under the seat does that mean I should give it away cause it didn't cost me that..???

Are we assuming you know the previous owner, or no? I would reach out to the previous owner, or I would donate it. Shayne, if you love something, set it free.

Sorry everyone I thought it would be a fun Friday thread where people could come up with new names for the classified section.

Maybe we should name it the...

Horsey internet price database

Carry on and have a fun / nice Friday and lighten up Francis

^^^^^^^^This. It isn't fair to all the members who's ads are bumped off the first page. It is classless in my book.

I was backing up Briggs post but if you want my opinion multiple, same day posted single item posts should be deleted and repeat offenders should get a vacation from the board. It's rude and screws fellow board members but that is just my own opinion.

So let's see if I get this right... I'm berated for buying stuff off the classifieds... And I'm berated for selling stuff on the classifieds...and I'm called selfish for doing so... Some of you guys are real pieces of.....work. Heaven forbid someone should go Into the classifieds sections where it shows all of the posted headings in one nice little page...oh, that's right, ya wanna be lazy and just look at the recently posted section which contains only the most recent..??? Apparently I don't seem to have a problem seeing the recent stuff for sale.!!!

I like elitist. It's got a certain ring to it. For example:

some pedestrian: "You know what Shayne, you're an elitist."

Shayne: "oh, thank you."
