For sale limitation

Just a suggestion...

Seeing we have a "posting min" for the mud pit. Why not institute one for the for sale section...this will help to eliminate:
1. Asshat posts by fools selling anything and everything
2. Fools who post up and never respond back, wasting everyone's time for some reason
3. Those wanting to capitalize on members knowledge

I know it will reduce the amount of "fun" we can have on the forum sometimes...but it is only a suggestion....maybe others can chime in ... Feel free to tell me I am full of "it"

I think we should also have a requirement to post photos of your items for sale, and or a link to them. ie everything ron posts for sale.

Why the fascination with regulation these days? Use to be, that guy is a tard, ostracize him. Now, we want another rule, law, or reg.

The tard will lose standing, the sale, or both...

Just IMO, not that it means a hill of beans either.

Why would we want to stop people from posting items for sale especially people that are not in touch with the market?

Some of the best scores that members have made are from first time posters

Less rules and regulations the better.

^^^^what he said.

When I see a FS or any other post from somebody with under say 50 posts I give it it's due consideration. Also remember, there are a lot of people on this board who never post and have been members for years all the while hoarding and collecting parts. You wouldn't want to miss out on that garage sale. Perfect example was MNEIL's FS post where out of left field a guy posts a whole bunch of useful goodies all at cheap prices (right, Josh?!)

Complete toolbags trying to sell used baskets for more than what Urban OUtfitters charges for a new one, or flippers trying to sell UK fright pigs for 2-3X what they're worth are usually "outed" within 30 seconds on this board anyway.
I'm completely capable of filtering the content myself.

With all of that said, maybe a "suggestion" to all selllers in the rules thread that failing to post current pictures of your item(s) for sale could result in some criticism from forum members. Let them post. It would be different if there were 100 FS posts to filter through every day, but I don't see the volume big an issue at all.

take with a grain of salt...

You wouldn't want to deal with someone that just registered or has a handful of post.

Unless it's local.
