it would be nice if it were like facebook, where the original poster owns the thread, and can delete comments if they want.

It would also be nice if you could delete your OWN posts on this site. I believe this is the only forum I'm subscribed to where the posts become permanent. There have been occasions where someone has posted a build thread or a how to and I posted some stupid comment on it without realizing it wasn't a "discussion" thread, and then I had to ask a mod to delete it.

It was a blend of rugby, Australian rules football, American football and soccer. There were no rules except to try any means possible to move the ball to the far end of the field and the opposition was trying to steal it back and do the same thing. No time outs, no breaks, if anyone got hurt you jumped over them or kicked them out of the way. We were a rough (and somewhat unsupervised) bunch. Our sixty-plus year old teacher just didn't want to know.

Ed Zachery. The gym teacher called it 'steal the bacon', but in 4th grade parlance, it was smear the queer.

in 1963 when I was in 7th grade we only had a vague notion of what a queer was.

Seemingly the cleanest way to end that type of behavior is for a moderator to pm the dbag offender and suggest that he edit his post rather than rocking the boat buy changing the forum for everyone. One would hope that after several admonishments an offender would learn what isn't acceptable.

Your threshold of what is "dbaggery" seems very low to me.
