The mileage discrepancy (and the wreck when rear ended) is right there on the Autocheck. The real answer is nobody knows the true mileage. There is not a chance Nushi/Avahdani/Amir/Culina/kiki does regardless of his listing. Just another guy buying and selling. Nothing new here. Move along.

I was more meaning that sellers should be wary of professional buyers ...

There are plenty of cases on here of sellers falling for a sob story from professional buyers ... That's the issue ... We should be educating sellers not berating the buyers. We are never going to stop people using information arbitrage to try and get a good deal as a buyer ... what we can do is help people get the best value for their truck.

I proposed changing the sales format to more of an auction to avoid dealers jumping in on everything ... it would give time for the wider community to benefit. The downside is that the buying price might be higher as more people get a chance to view the item. The upside is that dealers and flippers would experience squeezed margins and so less trucks would get bought at low prices and flipped.

I'm not bitter Amir. But you do sound worried. I'm just attempting to keep you honest, because the Craigslist sale that you posted indicates that this vehicle has a clean title and the CarFax records indicate something different. Why don't you revise your Craigslist sale to reflect this.

I resent you guys dragging us into your personal beef
Sorry but it's kinda a punk move to come to a forum and start berating someone for issues we will never fully know and usually without the other party present (or willing) to defend.
On that note.
There's nothing more to be seen here people. Please clear the area.

Has'nt everyone had there speedometer replaced at some point? Mine originally stuck at 19.999. So if replaced how does anyone have an actual mileage vehicle? I have the sticker on the door that says when replaced at and what mileage etc................but I don't know what that proves?

Bravo Josh,

------ Follow up post added February 19th, 2015 02:43 PM ------

Thank you Dr. Dread, I wish we had more people like you here.

Darrel, it's funny that despite all your expertise you still send me text to offer to buy the truck. Isn't this interesting?

Will sends his apologies for the potato chip, he never intended for Amir to turn around and use his personal pictures to resale the truck. And yeah Amir I made you an offer on the truck for what you paid for it ($23K + shipping) after you gave me this sad story that you were stuck like chuck and had bought a blue Defender and then bought the red Defender and then 3 hours after buying the red one decided you couldn't keep it because you were going to restore the blue one. Now I hear your possibly selling the blue one to a buyer in Alabama. Your just a want-a-be used car salesman lurking around on this site trying to scope-up deals. Also, your ad needs a disclaimer..."Will's friend not included!"
