Wolf Fabrication Roof Racks $1500

I am finally in a position to start making these racks on a larger scale. Made from .1165 wall 1-1/2" steel tube, these racks are bullet-proof. The base design has an open front for a 1.2m roof top tent, but the racks can be configured in any way that you want. Right now I am only making them for STs as I am waiting on a SW donor vehicle to test the fit. My rear ladder design mounts to the right spare tire rack mount, and the left side to the crossmember - no holes to drill into your body!

Price is $1500 and includes everything for the install - stainless/grade 8 hardware, and even touch-up paint. Crossbars are $300 a pair if you need those separately.

The last rack I shipped cost $305 to CA.

PM or email if interested.

Was wondering where the name came from.

Heading to the Wolf shop for some cage work soon.

Racks look great!

Hi, Jonathan-

I already have a roof rack on my '97 SW (one made by Derek at Urban Offroad that's cool), but I'd be happy to help out a former military guy and Buff if you'd like to use mine for measurements.

I'm down in Norfolk, but occasionally get up to the Manassas area to visit my brother and his family. That, or you're welcome to come down and take measurements whenever you'd like. I also leave town occasionally for detachments, and may even be agreeable to letting you borrow it for a few days while I"m gone.

I've also been considering blowing more dough on a beat ST and rebuilding it into something more expensive now that I've blown a ton on this one. If I find the right truck, your rack looks like one I'd dig.

Speaking of which anyone know anything about this truck and/or listing?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_500wt_1373 (I'll also probably start another thread to ask a wider audience.)

I have friends in CO from my college days (CU-Boulder '93. Go Buffs!), and have grand ideas of flying to for a visit and D90 purchase.

We've talked about that truck before.

I don't really want to copy someone's rack. My design works, I just need someone with a SW that's close to check fitment. I don't have jigs either, so I use my ST or build it on my customer's vehicle at my shop.

Don't know the truck personally.... but you'll find that d90 in another thread and I think it was added to LR that suck for it's non-nas cage weird bumper and ugly top...

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, Jonathan!

I'm pretty sure this yellow one is a different truck than "the one that sucks" from the earlier thread, but I may be mistaken. This one looks to have an NAS cage and a chopped up/weird front bumper, but different aux lights. (I remember that "LRs that suck" thread having one with so many front aux lights that it looked like it had spider eyes.

I tried to find some info here on this one, but my long search ended up for naught.

As for the cage measurements, Jonathan, I wasn't referring to copying any of Derek's cage stuff, but just offering up my truck if you wanted to take measurements from that to check ST to SW differences.

Crap!

Found the yellow one in the "Suck" thread, I'll never doubt any of you again. It doesn't look quite as bad, and I expect that it has new springs at a minimum (or less stuff in it)

Jonathan,

Man this rack is awesome, it worked flawlessly for my trip. Plus I had numerous amount of people compliment on the rack and how it makes my 90 "LOOK TITS".

Thanks dude

Here's a spy shot of Gustavo's (Rugbiers) rack I am finishing up. It's open in the back for his roof top tent. I think it turned out pretty sweet. It's low-profile and pretty "stealthy" looking. I've improved a lot of the details up to this point, including the passenger side ladder mount - I'll post a pic of that later.

Technicaly the basket is just reversed, but I specificly designed that rack to open in the rear. In fact, the modular aspect of it could allow it to flip around and open in the front. So yes to your question, sorta.

I feel so dirty posting someone else's Rover porn, but here is a shot of Gustavo's sex on wheels. I swear his rig is the poster child for Lucky8, Equipe, and Qt.

Also attached is a pic of my new passenger side ladder mount for the STs. It's 1/2" steel plate and still allows access to the tire carrier bolt.
