Yes, of course weatherproof heat shrink but I stand by my 4" length. (Figured that was obvious and why I attached the link.) I still recommend solder over crimping though.

I went a step further and filled the space between the body and the back of the LED lights with great stuff pond sealant which keeps the mud and rocks flying up from the rear tires from collecting between the light and the body. As Josh said, anything in that area takes a beating. The great stuff is easy to clear away if you ever have to remove the light(s) but this is doubtful if done right the first time.

So probbaly slide one of these (or another trusted source) 3/16" sleeves (if that's the right size) on per wire cut down to desired length

http://www.go2marine.com/product/206...e&WT.mc_id=gb1

then make your connection between each stock wire and each LED wire with one of these heat-shrink butt connectors

http://www.boatmania.com/electrical/...onnectors.html

then move the sleeve back over your butt connection, and heat-shrink that bad boy over it. Or solder and repeat last step.

I dont know about the Pond version but the great stuff is highly flammable. I know a guy that lost his shop when a it stared on fire in a customers truck. They used it to fill holes in the body work. A spark from a his grinding wheel started the whole thing.

Thanks again for the wiring info. Worked like a charm. Got everything wired up well this past weekend. My turn signals are flashing fast, you'll have to let us know how the new relay works with the LED's.

If your ROWs are 95mm DIA I'd say likely no, as that's what I believe these are.

OK then I'd start by drilling 3 holes - one large one for the wires to go through, then 2 small ones to hold the light and bezel, and runn appropriate wiring to that location if you do not already have a light there. Other than that, not quite sure of your question I guess.

Okay, will try again. Maybe Justin knows. I see by the photo in post #9 that these will go on a ROW car. Aside from needing a plinth, is there anything else that needs to be done to install these in the ROW lamp locations ? Thanks.

I would say no. It doesn't look like the even cut the capping to put the light there. Looks pretty simple to me. They're lights, so they don't need backing plates or anything like that.

You got it.
That is all they do at the factory.
