I want to order a set but couldn't find them on your website. Are they up yet or do I need to call?

So I went to install these lights on my 1997 SW and I was disappointed to find out these are not plug and play. The brake light would light up but would not get brighter with the brakes. The turn signal was flashing really fast. So it looks like these are going to need a load resister. I had to unwire what I had installed and put the old ones back on. I was able to leave the back up light installed as that was the only one that would operate normally.

Here is the instructions that came with the lights, it has the part numbers for the load resisters

How about the front lights?

I am sorry but they do not come with the plug ends because some trucks use the pin style and other use the clip.

I think you have it wired incorrectly or you have a ground issue. I put them in my 90 please see pics below.

Same here. I will order some resister with the next batch and send them out FOC to everyone that ordered.

I am sorry about the quality of the pictures. If I took them straight on it would wash out the photo.

Not having the clip end is no big deal. I can wire it up fine. What I mean by not plug and play is that I wasn't able to order the kit and install it right away. I was pretty excited about these because I have wanted LED lights for a while.

I was able to get the brake light to light up. Its just that when I pushed on the brakes they didn't get brighter. I assume that it will needs a resister like the indicator light. When I wired the original lights back up everything worked as it should. I left the LED reverse light hooked up as that worked fine.

I think you have the wires backward. The brake light wired in revers. Ill take a pic the wire need and post it up for the recored.
Sorry you are having an issue.

Me having issues isn't just isolated to wiring brake lights!! Thanks for the help, a pic of the wiring would help a lot. I observed a green wire, black/red wire, and a black wire.

I wouldn't recommend installing resistors because it's another connection prone to water penetration and/or failure. Furthermore, part of the allure of LED technology is the low current draw so when a resistor is installed you are no longer taking advantage of the low current draw- you're simply turning the energy into heat.

SOLUTION: I just installed LED's (both front and rear) and then ordered the LED bulb Flasher unit from superbrightleds.com for $12.95 which solves the problem correctly. (They ship wicked fast too.)

FYI- the flasher unit is part #CF13GL-02 and I highly recommend ordering a couple of interior LED's while you're at it- they make a huge difference and worth every penny of the $14.95

If you find one that actually works with these LED's please post the part number. I tried 4 different ones from NAPA, AutoZone, etc... thinking the same thing and each had their own problems but suit yourself.
