The 2.8 TGV and 300TDI to GM adapters are in stock

Hello to one and all.
After much waiting I am proud to announce they are now available. As you know the 2.8 TGV is a 4 cylinder diesel engine that produces 135 HP @3800 RPM and 277 FT LB of torque at 1400 RPM.

Advance Adapters has just finished the adapters to allow one of our main products, a 4 cylinder 135 HP turbocharged intercooled diesel to be used with the following transmissions:

Auto Version Kit:
Powerglide
TH350
TH400
700R4
4L60/4L60E
4L80E

Manual Version Kit:
(this kit can use a 11" or 12" clutch assembly)
SM465
NP435
NV3500
NV4500
there are more...)
In addition, this kit can be used with any of Advance Adapters' Chevy
V-8 to various transmissions adapter kits. This would allow the 2.8L
TGV to be mated to countless other transmissions.

Yes we sell another 2.8 LT engine that is found in the South American Nissan Xterra. The inline 6 we sell is 4.2 LT and produces 185 HP at 3800 RPM and 366 FT LB of torque at 1600 RPM. These 2 engines have a B-10 rating of 400,000 KM or 240,000 miles.
Yes we can ship factory fresh 300TDI engines from South America also.

More information required drop me a line

Now that is major news right there - a 300tdi swap is a little easier than a 2.8 swap - and some people want to keep their Rovers "all Rover" - I think we need more details!

I'm glad to hear that all this is going well for you Stephen - its taken a while to get up speed but things are really taking off. How much longer does International plan on producing the 2.8?

Hello Jim
I was talking with people in the know in South America and they do have business plans from some companies for 4 years.
IESA will provide parts for at least 10 years. Jim you know the 300TDI costs more than the 2.8. Reason God knows!! The adapters open up a large market for the engine in the North America off road industry.

The bulk shipping of engines is in place to keep costs down.Just waiting to have some pictures of the engine (2.8) with a collection of engines attached to it.
Also as we are a Jobber for Advance now we will offer a discount on their products when engine and adapter are purchased.
What can I say been working on this for a long time.
Did you see any of the Lisbon to Dakar race?
The 2.8 powered Land Rover Bowler can first in its class and 32nd over in the 6000 mile run. That was with the engine boosted up to 170 HP.

Be talking to you!!!!

Stephen

The Adapters from the 2.8 to NV3500 and NV4500 sound great, but what about the T-Case? Does Advanced already have adapters to go from the NV3500/4500 to an LT230? If not, what are people using behind them for Rovers?

So is there anything new on a NV4500 to LT230 adaptor yet?
