Question... Are all ROW the same?

I don't remember needing this "hole" to open up the hood of my shitbox

It just depends on which "hood release" option you have...essentially either:
1) in-cabin bonnet pull
2) manual release lever at the actual bonnet (see prior post with Doug & I exchanging pics)

Many folks swap to & from either setup, so may not be dependent on year so much as prior owner or personal preference.

Latest small project installments are done and "ready" to go...details as follows (the "cutout" front grilles are done as well, just need to find time to photograph & upload them for ordering):

10.5" DEMISTER/DEFROST VENT TRIM (set of 2, to fit the "earlier" 1983-~1988 trucks)
These are replacements for the front dash windscreen demister/defrost vent trim pieces, as the factory vents tend to warp/distort over time from heat & sun damage. They are a direct replacement for factory part number #MTC6040, which are the shorter 10.5” long vents that fit model year 1983-1988 Defender 90/110/127 ONLY (please note these will NOT fit the larger 14.5” #BTR912 vent from the later trucks from 1989-on, please see our other available larger set for these vehicles). ALSO a suitable replacement for factory part #395871 for the Land Rover Series III vehicles from 1973+ (except Lightweight) with the black plastic dash.

Pricing is $130 retail, or $117 with the ‘Defender Source’ 10% discount applied. These units are DONE, in-hand, and ready to ship! Use the coupon code "D90" at checkout to get the automatic 10% discount...many more photos/description available here:

ALUMINUM GRILLE BADGE MOUNT (Bolt-On with "Land Rover" green & gold emblem, OR also an option for a silver & black emblem)
Solid aluminum Badge Mount designed to bolt directly onto our Aluminum Defender Front Grille, and features the genuine Land Rover Green & Gold oval emblem decal #DAG100330 inset directly onto the badge mount (or the alternate black & silver #DAG500140 ). Crafted from solid billet aluminum and powdercoated black, comes with stainless-steel mounting hardware for an easy and quick install. Measures approximately 3-1/2" wide x 1-13/16 tall x 1" deep.

While designed specifically for our Aluminum Defender Front Grille, this unit can ALSO be used as an upgraded replacement for the factory grille badge mount #MXC6402 (that originally came on the plastic factory front grille for the Defender). When ordered as a stand-alone unit this will come with longer 1" mounting bolts required for fitting to the factory plastic grille (versus the 1/2" mounting hardware that is included to specifically fit the SDO Front Grille)

Pricing is $100 retail, or $90 with the ‘Defender Source’ 10% discount applied ($85/$76.50 when purchased with the SDO Front Grille). These units are DONE, in-hand, and ready to ship! Use the coupon code "D90" at checkout to get the automatic 10% discount...many more photos/description available here:

SOFT-TOP CLIPS (not a new product...but "back in stock" after a small hiatus)
CNC Milled Aluminum Soft Top Clips for retaining the rear window tailgate crossbar rail. These will fit any model Defender 90 that utilizes a soft-top, generally either the factory top or any similar aftermarket tops (as long as they still retain the rear window crossbar rail - which most do).

This is an upgraded replacement for your weak, plastic, factory rear window retaining clips for your rear crossbar that can crack and break over time - leaving your rear window literally flapping in the wind. These aluminum replacements will solve your problem and/or prevent your future problems (if you haven’t had it happen yet…it will). The "original" plastic clips were included in the factory part #LRNA71713 "Tailgate Kit for the Defender 90 Soft Top".

Pricing is $85 retail, or $76.50 with the ‘Defender Source’ 10% discount applied. Use the coupon code "D90" at checkout to get the automatic 10% discount...many more photos/description available here:

The "cutout" version of the Front Grille is officially back from powdercoat...looking good, I snapped some quick pictures below. Still need to do some "proper" photography but it gives an idea.

Just did a very small batch for these to gauge interest, and *essentially* based on those folks that expressed interest it looks like ~approximately 1/2 of them may be spoken for. We'll see how demand goes if it necessitates it being a continued product....but for now first-come-first-served .

Those that did express interest should have either an email or pm from me at this point, and those folks are first-in-line with priority being offered to them for purchase....

Also upon request in this round....I did have a couple of folks that had custom ordered "bare" aluminum standard front grilles (either for people that may want a color change and/or do custom paint, or may want to clear anodize them to keep them the aluminum color). I did leave a few extra units above & beyond bare as well, so if anyone has a need for a bare unit let me know:

Got the "removable" Solihull Badge option worked out...which mounts over the cutout hole to hide the latch from view when not in use.

The unit is mounted with some custom magnets designed to bolt through the octagonal holes, retained at the back, and with a riveted piece of flat-bar steel on the backside of the Solihul Badge. Pretty slick, and thanks for Uncle Douglas for the inspiration!

It is extremely sturdy when mounted, and you can either swing it down from either side for quick-access to the manual bonnet latch - or completely remove it with firm pressure to pop the entire badge right off.

My heritage grill was nice, this grill is really, really nice!
Plus I won't dread opening the hood so much.
