ROX/ Safari Gard Defender bumpers

Shortly we will be selling the ROX front bumper and skid plate set up via mail order. It took some time to make sure they fit perfectly every time, but we have it done.
install instruction photos and heavy duty shipping crates are being made now.
This is a winch mount bumper made to hold popular Warn winches and it has a built in skid plate for the front steering gear.
This is the old Safari Gard front bumper with a few minor changes. Lamp mounts for 3 lamps, 2 built in recovery points (made for a 5/8" shackle) and limb riser tabs are included.
Pricing to follow soon. They will be available in satin black powder coat or in bare steel if you want to do your own thing.

There is no Husky winch option, sorry.
Cutting of the front frame is required for install.

Back story:
Years ago we used Safari Gard bumpers and customers loved them. Then Greg sold Safari Gard and we could no longer get product. Customers still wanted the bumpers so we made them in house. That because too time consuming so we worked with Safety Devices to manufacture the bumper to our specifications. Now being the only authorized Safety Devices shop in the US we will be offering these bumpers mail order.
Its just another choice in a number of fine bumpers out there for your 90 or 110 (or 130).

More to come.

What will the price be? After 11 pages, we never got an answer on the last Safety Devices front bumper thread you started years ago when they were going into production.

Yes, that was the start of this long ass process. Pricing will come when we get the crate costs.
It has taken a long time to get the jig perfect. We have buying them in batches of 20 and any mistakes we then fixed in house and those bumpers could not be sold mail order. Then it takes us a while to sell 20 bumpers, then the next batch, etc etc etc.
We are now at a point where each one slides right on the frame and the bolts drop in. We were not willing to sell things that did not fit.

Looks like a nice option. Did SD start selling rear bumpers too? There was mention of it on their site but no other info.

What are you doing with that 94 winch bumper you just removed off the white truck?

We are going to work on the other products with SD now that the bumper is put to bed. They (and we) are so busy it takes a LOT of time. So don't look for those soon.

The Warn bumper off the white 90 will end up in the pile until we have another flea market sale.

What about roof racks?
I need some replacement parts for mine
And since you are the official SD importer, how can I go about getting some
pieces for my 95 NAS soft top.

Thanks

I had one of these bumpers on my Puma in Aussie! It was fantastic. I ordered thru a SD dealer in OZ and had it installed. I highly recommend. I did pay a lot for shipping and I'm pretty certain it was the only one down under.

look at the Rockware with the integrated skid plate. I had a Safari Gard on my previous Defender and was determined to get another one for my current one. When I simply could not find one I went to Rockware and I wouldn't go back. You can get tabs for a hi-lift jack. I like the way the bumper tapers in from the center and fits tight against the edges of the front of the truck.

Hey let's cut mike some slack on these . He can always go dark like he has in the past when he gets to the point on getting his balls busted too much. I prefer to at least have another vendor/enthusiast like mike feel that there is some appreciation for going a little extra an extending ECR internally developed parts to the rest of the members . I don't think he really needs the money for onesy twosie bumper sales. IMHO

I think it's actually been more like four years since the first thread.
