------ Follow up post added August 27th, 2014 08:57 PM ------

I have a correction to make. The A042 and A073 actually are the same width and height. I had incorrectly the A042 as being longer. It isn't. The only difference between the two is the height. Both are 58cm x 38cm. Good news because it means the two different models are stackable with each other. Ignore my incorrect diagram. I will update it tomorrow.

I have put together some rough layout options based on the tub and box dims. Please understand that this is a rough and unconfirmed guess-timation until I've confirmed with the real deal. None of the cases will sit exactly flush with the wheel arches. The one that comes closest is the A042. It is 24 cm tall and the wells are 22cm tall. It sticks up 0.8". I'm hoping that Toby can enlighten us further here. Stay tuned.

D90 Layout options!

I built the cases in CAD using the correct dimensions so here's a closer look at layout options. Top row is A042, Middle row is A073 and bottom row is A081 shown both from the front and the rear. This makes much more sense than my previous drawings. All three models it turns out, fit the rear of a D90 extremely well. The one caution though is that if you have an internal (NAS or otherwise) roll cage or dog guard you need to measure your own vehicle to be sure. This is by no means a guarantee, just an approximation. I'm going to take some photos of Toby's A042 and A073 boxes in the back of my D90 tonight and post up so stay tuned!

The wheel arches are much too narrow for any of these boxes. Alu-Box has an 164 liter box that may fit but that would be a special order and is not included in this group buy.

Hey, I'm helping myself just as much as I'm helping you guys. I'm just trying to figure out which size/model I prefer for my D90.

Remember non-NAS trucks have bulkheads, so that interferes with the front boxes in your layouts. also what out for the rear door stay, handles and such.

Exactly. There are many unknowns which I cannot account for so it up to each individual to measure their own truck and decide the layout that suits them. Just posting these images as a general guide or best case scenario. I'm going to play around with Toby's boxes tonight to get a better idea.

Click on the images so that they open in a separate window. If you look at the name of the image (bottom left corner) it'll say which one it is. The top row is A042. It's the ones that almost are flush with the wheel arches.

Just confirmed the bulkhead difference. Without bulkhead the tub is approx 121cm deep. With bulkhead it is 116cm deep so the bulkhead reduces the depth by 5cm (2"). Since its a pretty tight fit to begin with that may interfere with having 4 cases in the tub. If you have a ROW D90 you may want to take accurate measurements before you order a set of 4 or more. That said it'll still fit two and a stacked set of two just fine.

We can certainly look into the wheel well boxes - the length may be an issue as they are quite long.

It could be 2 that fit next to each other end to end.

Box is 56l
125 cm x 27 cm x 21 cm

No problem for a 3-door 110, but too long for a 90

D-90 ROW well platform measures
112 cm x 35 cm (bottom) or ~26 cm (dropped from the inside capping)

Alternately there are smaller boxes - which two will fit side by side in a 90 without side seats

19l
53cm x 23cm x 19cm

Brian is right. I just measured as well. You're going to be hard pressed to find something perfect for the wheel arches without going custom because the dimensions are a bit odd. The issue with the wheel arches is that they requires a very narrow box. If I were to design a box for the D90 wheel arches I would probably make it 105cm long x 25cm deep x 28cm tall. Now, we could ask Ole if they would be willing to make a custom box for us but that would require a certain amount of people wanting to order it.

The "Troy" boxes were always a great choice for the wheel wells. Made to fit. http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ead.php?t=7496
