The water egress is not so much a problem. I have the RN boot kit and it works to a certain extent. Water is going to get into the lights, no matter what you do. The boot works, but when you submerge the lights, it still goes in.

The problem I'm referring to is the crap thrown both on the lights, wiring harnesses etc, as well as all over the cross member, safety cage mounts and so on.

So, with road salt and sand and other funkiness, that area of the wheel well takes a beating. I was thinking of a plastic panel to cover it up in some fashion.

Hi Everyone,

I have posted a few pics of the first set of prototypes, I am going to test fit the 1997 panel later today and will post some pics of it installed later today.
http://www.slickrockfabrication.com/d90kick.htm

Please keep in mind that the final version will be blasted and painted with powder coating giving them a much better looking finish than the bare aluminum.

Additionally, please ignore the small round holes that are in the panels

I still need someone with a 1994 and 1995 with A/C and W/O AC to test the panels.

Thanks,

Dave Lucas

Hi,

Two pictures of the panel installed on my 1997 have now been added to the page, it looks like I got the bends correct and only need to make a few minor dimensional changes and the 1997 driver side panel will be ready to go.

Still looking for someone with a 94 & 95 here in Colorado

NICE

I would love to bring my D90 for you to test the panels but the poor thing is sitting on jack stands awaiting the coil overs...

Hi everyone,

Well, I finally managed to test fit all of the panels on each year

The only surprise I ran into was the ECU location on the 1994 without A/C so the passenger side panel will need to be redesigned to accommodate the ECU that is installed on the bulk head

I am going to start production on the following panels in a few weeks and should have them ready to sell before too long.

1997 Driver side

1995 Drivers and passenger side

1994 Driver side (passenger side needs more work to accommodate ECU)

The passenger side panels are only used if your Defender does not have A/C

******* I still need someone with a 1997 non A/C equipped Defender to test fit the passenger side panel********

Thanks for all of the great questions and support

Dave Lucas

Dave, I think that the '94 without ac' will fit my 110. When you are ready to ship both sides of that style, please count me in.

Best,

Doug, Jesse

I am pretty sure that the 1994 – 1995 drivers side panel will fit your 110, but I am not sure about the passenger side, would it be possible for you to take a picture of the drivers side and passenger side and email them to me?

Additionally do you happen to know if the ECU is located in the passenger foot well on your 110’s, this is the only reason the passenger side will not fit the 1994.

When the drivers side kick panels are done I will set one aside if either of you are interested in test fitting one.

Thanks,

Dave

Dave. I want a set too. My truck is a custom built truck but it has a 110 bulkhead. It does not have an ecu so I think a set of standard ones would be fine. What do you think?

NAS 110's have the ecu behind the kick panel. I'll try to take some pics this week.

Dave,

count me in for a '94 non-AC set. Let me know when you get the ecu issue figured out.
