Any options of different nozzles for 300TDI injectors?

There are higher flow options that I have/do use on VW TDI's and I would be interested in a higher flow option for my 300TDI.

Hi
Two answers:

Give us a call. I can give you a credit towards some 200 injectors but they are quite a bit more costly than 300 injectors.

I will ask about hi flow. I have seen them but have yet to mess with them.

Sorry to be a diesel newb, but how do you know when you need this service? What are the symptoms of bad injectors?

Also, are serviced OE units better than new aftermarket injectors? I know some aftermarket stuff is junk, but I know nothing about this.

You can only tell for certain by putting the injector in a test fixture and observing the spray. Bad injectors will still allow the engine to operate, but at reduced efficiency. Symptoms include excess dark smoke, poor performance and excessive fuel consumption.

The original injectors are Bosch. The patent on these ran out a while ago, so now the market is flooded with Chinese reproduction. I think you can still get the bosch ones, and you actually only need the nozzles, but you will pay dearly. It is even then difficult to know if they are genuine Bosch. I would say that refurbished OE is better than no-name aftermarket.

New Bosch nozzles are around $200 for a set out of the UK. Not very expensive. Chinese knock offs $120.

To the OP, does your service include checking and adjustment of both the pilot and main pressures? Are you using the full flow/pressure test unit?
