GRP TCI front and 2nd row doors
The first sets of the TDCI ft and 2nd row have shipped to arrive end of this week.
The fiberglass is reinforced and all nutserts are stainless. The fit and finish is wonderful. I would say the door is about 90% paint ready.
All of the doors are TDCI and can be either power or non power as desired. The masters were all power TDCI doors so there is space per motors and such.
All of the older roll up window Defender parts will swap into the front and second row doors. The only thing to remember is that the TDCI locks use a totally different key that matches the ignition so you will need to wrangle/mangle your old locks in place (google it) or purchase new TDCI parts.
Right now we are building a kit with all one needs to install the TDCI door with all new parts to fit earlier Defenders.
We are also working on a power window and lock kit we can sell installed in all 5 doors.
For now just necked doors:
Front $375 each + $25 shipping in CONUS
2nd Row $375 each + shipping.....
Front and 2nd row will be in stock and ready to ship by the end of next week.
We will be taking pre orders
Note from the maker:
These fibreglass doors are Land Rover TDCI replica's all shapes, sizes and features mimic the originals.
The main deviation from the original spec. is to fit female threaded inserts where studs would normally be present. This is mainly for easy of packing for export.
The doors themselves are handmade and comprise 4 individual mouldings
1, outer skin
2, inner casing
3, strut re-enforcer
4, inner door re-enforcing panel
Each are quite complex mouldings in themselves and take time to set up upon assembly.
Laminated from high grade glass-fibre matting and the finest auto-motive grade resin as oppose to general purpose resin.
This resin gives these doors a longer serviceable life, as it is incredibly hard wearing, the interaction of all 4 mouldings produces a complete door unit that is well capable of with standing the riggers of Land Rover life and at 7.5 kilo's they give around 30% weight saving.
So if you have a full set of doors on your Land Rover from GRP that equates to quite a bit of fuel saving in a year.
