Group Buy Masai Roof racks

Hi All

Thanks to Paul K a fire was lit under me this week on these racks.

I have seen these racks, stood on them and rattled them around pretty hard. I have determined I weigh somewhere in the range of 2,723 stone and the rack supported me with no issue. ( I am not so good at medieval to modern conversions)

We are the US dealers for Masai so of course I will talk the stuff up but these really are very good products at fair prices.

Would also like to mention that Ferzan and Sally, the owners/designers, box packers, phone answerers, shop sweepers and tea makers, are Land Rover people who design what they would want to the level of quality that they insist upon. This is not some giant company that farms all the stuff out. They are a family enterprise and they control 100% of all design and production.

The racks split into two pieces for shipping and are packed up in a big ass box. They can go UPS/Fed Ex or better yet, Greyhound.

Getting them to the US is a bit of a challenge due to size. A bit too big for air and we need to ship a few of them for sea to make it worth while.

The 90 rack will retail at $1069

The 110 rack will retail at $1238

These prices are delivered to Atlanta.

I spoke with Sally this AM and they are very interested in getting these to the US. Masai will knock 10% off as will I so we have a 20% off deal for now. This is assuming we send 4 racks at once via sea freight.

The discounted 90 rack is $855

The discounted 110 rack is $990

Shipping in the US will be best via Greyhound. UPS quoted $220 Atl to Oregon to give you an idea.

The 90 rack is 60 x 48 x 18 @ 24kg if you want to run shipping to get an idea.

We need to get the order in by end of next week NLT the 17th of Oct. We need a 50% deposit to secure the rack with remainder upon shipping out of Atl.

Plan on 4 weeks from date of order to in our hands Atl.

We can also air freight them one at a time or in groups but there will be no discount; sorry...air freight is big $$$$$!

Pls e mail david@urbanlandcruisers.com

Must be a good rack system as David states bloody good springs as well

"I have seen these racks, stood on them and rattled them around pretty hard. I have determined I weigh somewhere in the range of 2,723 stone and the rack supported me with no issue. ( I am not so good at medieval to modern conversions)" I didn't yhink a land rover roof could support 38,122 Lbs

or was that a typo? even 27 stone is 378 Lbs

6.36 kgs or 14 pounds to a stone and is still used in these modern times

350GBP ($568) which is cheaper than the TerraFirma/OEM unit. Biggest advantage to me is that it will fit an older rig with roof ribs.

Thoughts? Anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks,

Paul.

All:

I learned that these racks will fit ribbed roofs after seeing a photo on FaceBook. I specifically asked & was told that they will indeed fit. The OEM/Terrafirma rack will not fit without modifications, hence my desire to purchase the Masai rack.

Thanks,

Paul.

2723 stone = 38,122lbs

I prefer outside ribbed style roof. The misses prefer external ribs to....

I will have to remove the rack to fit the LR in the garage also.

But that will be the case for any rack.
