No mention in Exmoor's write-up of how this would work with the stereo in its typical location (1994 NAS D90). Is there a slot inside for the stereo?

Damn I like that Premium Cubby, I just replaced mine in June with the regular Exmoor. Quite the dilemma....

Does either unit accommodate a stereo head unit?

Wait...you can hear your stereo? Seriously? When it's parked I'm guessing?

Whenever my girlfriend isn't bitching about how much cold wind is blowing on her legs from the passenger side, I can faintly hear my playlists...faintly

Only radio worth having is a CB for trail rides

Though I think I own my D-90, I have been ordered by the true owner (and next driver once she get a license in a few years) to install a new radio that not only plays radio stations but also iPhone stuff, Pandora, AND makes Starbucks coffee! So, to house and protect a $300.00 head unit, I'm getting the tuffy cubby. Shipped its $335 for a larger, steel, radio ready box. Only downside, installation is a wiggle undeer the truck, drill new holes and maybe 1 cut knuckle - or 3.

You don't need a head-unit that does all of that - all you need is a head-unit with a USB and a smart phone that plays iPhone stuff, Pandora, etc. and it will support those functions.

I was typing fast. Fully agree a USB port head unit - $100 - would do it. Figured I'd go a bit crazy and get 50w a channel so i can drown out the moaning about the wind/leaks/squeaks (my girl doesn't complain). Then that got me looking at a few other extras - the Pioneer DEH P8300 is $160 with top being the 80PSR at $350.
But really, Ive got crap locks on the truck, a gap 2 inches wide between the door and the top so the Tuffy is for all my security needs. My stock cubby someone just punched down on the lock and it popped out.
