Engel Group Buy - Gauging Interest

Iím considering putting together an Engel Group Buy but would like to gauge interest before I commit. Looking at a 20% discount off of retail (about $300 off depending on model). Local pick up in Portland preferred but I could potentially deliver to NW Overland Rally as well. If you are interested in participating PM or email me.

I don't know what it is either, but it runs about $1500. They must be nice!

Perhaps I should have clarified. I assumed too much. Thanks for the clarification, Doug. Yes, it's portable fridge/freezers for your truck.

If I didn't buy an ARB fridge on Monday I would have been interested! Sounds like a great deal.

Don't be bringing Dweb over here!

I'm interested in a 45, but the pickup on the left coast thing may be tough!

I cant imagine there wouldnt be enough interest to do an East Coast group buy and then RuRR them around.

My Engel 35 has been flawless since 2004.
And we run it a few days a week.
Every week.
It stays in one of the trucks all the time for grocery store runs or whatever...

I didn't even know they'd let Dan on Expo. Somehow I doubt he'll be there long.
As to the original intent of the post, and per Jeff B and I's back and forth; Carl if there is interest on the east coast I'm in for a 45L...I'd like to put my Ironman (that still works) into my D1 full time and class up the 3 with the Engel.

Dan was banned from ExPo at some point but like Discoweb and (probably) here, he maintains multiple accounts.

Sorry to derail your thread, Carl. I am looking for a 60 but as you know, I'm moving to Kansas this month, so local pickup isn't an option.

Any fridge that uses the Sawafuji swing compressor is fantastic.

I can ask Engel about shipping options. I doubt they'll drop ship but perhaps they'd be willing to make one west coast and one east coast shipment? I'll find out.

I asked Engel about the Aussie version with built in battery monitor. Its a no-go. Not approved for US use and its 220v. Bummer!

Oh wow. What a bummer. I don't care much about the 220V as I can get a converter but their reluctance to sell it in the US is a problem.
