Ha. Yeah, I know. But mine are the thicker of the alu 5-bar and they've grown on me. The seats are up most of the time and they match the full set of 5-bar plates on the truck. A really nice product you've got there, though! All the best and Glwts.

The first production set has been completed! The remaining sets should be done by the end of this week, and I will be contacting those who have pre-ordered or expressed interest in sets regarding payment and/or shipping.

As noted, the corners of the plates have a radius, and the bottom holes have been countersunk per the factory hardware. The coating is a very resilient two-part urethane specifically intended for commercial applications and will offer excellent longevity.

Disclaimer:

Due to the method of construction, these plates had to be jigged in a fixture for accuracy and replication purposes. There are two very miniscule notches on each plate from this process; one on the bottom, the other on the left-hand edge. They are hardly noticeable, however I feel they should be mentioned, and they're detailed in the photos below.

Looking forward to receiving them.

Anybody found a decent replacement for the retaining strap? Mine are pretty much shot.

About 5 years ago I had a metal shop make these for me and it was the best upgrade I did to my truck. I would highly recommend getting a set of these.

I remade the strap out of black climbing webbing and reused the same metal connection pieces. Those look the same as the day I put them on, much stronger. I got the webbing from REI but anyplace that sells climbing equipment will have it.

I have a set of retaining straps out with one of the seatbelt companies I do a lot of business with to see what they can do by way of replication, since most that I come across are toast. If I can offer a reasonable replacement I'll let you guys know.

Got it, Pete! Thank you. I'll be dropping a handful of orders off to be shipped this afternoon.

Paul, I can take care of you and Vasily...just get a hold of me once you're ready for a set and I can do a small run if I don't happen to have anything on hand.
