I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

Ken's post reminded me: Eric, the parking brake shoes for LR3/RRS are llisted under Transmission/Transfer case parts. I was searching for the shoe part number today and could find the return springs and shoe holddown hardware under Brakes, but not the shoes!
