Zero Feedback eBay Bidder

I am selling my 110 on eBay and the high bidder so far (reserve not met) has zero feedback and just joined this month. I have been toying with the idea of canceling his bids, to save myself asspain if he does win and doesn't follow through. Thoughts?

It doesn't really matter until the reserve is met.

You can set up your account to block bidders with zero feedback, but it is a little late for that.
DO NOT accept some certified check.
Tell him that the only way he can buy it is show up with cash.
That will make him put up or shut up.
Then all that is left to report him to eBay if you don't hear back from him.

I've found that nine times out of ten, you can find out (for better or for worse) the kind of person you're dealing with by simply sending them a message and explaining that, based on their lack of feedback, you're just getting in touch to verify that they are a real human being with the means and intent to buy the vehicle if they win the auction.

That's a disarming enough way to get your point across, and their response to it will either make you more comfortable or less comfortable...in either case making for an easier decision about how to proceed.

Or ask for a phone number to discuss the vehicle.

No reserve on that auction, so I would assume not. Also a Series 3....

I'd leave the no prior bids in there at the very least to generate interest and competition.

Ps you listed on eBay uk site.

the biggest downside on an Auction when someone with 0 feedback / new member places a bid, is the perception that you are using a dummy account to push your bid, the oldest trick in the book for low life sales people
