youre kidding me again, right?

new y pipe, new sunday shot to shit, new thread.

how many 60 deg saturdays do you get in november? noooooot many.

so what do i do with them?

i try to install parts that wont fir from Rooooovers noooorth. im really pissed now.

it seems the replacement part for the wrong part in "youve got to be kidding me" thread is nothing but the same misbent pipe with cheaper cats and 2 fewer o2 bungholes. yep, you read that right. i got done swapping a leaky clutch slave, unwrpped the pipe... and voila!!!! im fucked.

i honestly cant believe it. here are the pipes stacked one on top of the other. as you can see, the originals "y" is at a differing location.

I too am looking for a new/used y-pipe for my truck right now and I got talking to Paul Grant about seeing if he could get me one. He said that there are different ones for automatic and manual transmission trucks. I don't know if this is the problem you might be running into but its just something I heard that might help you out in getting the right one.

From the pictures what you have looks like it is the correct y-pipe...

I have used a full NRP kit on my '97 D90 and my first NAS D110, and loved them.
On my current NAS D110 I ordered just the y-pipe from DAP. I like the DAP well enough, but at the time my D110 needed a new y-pipe I bought the cheaper DAP thinking that I would eventuality do the 300 Tdi swap.
Click here for the DAP-> DAP Y-Pipe
Dollar for dollar the DAP option is the better.

its not the right pipe. if you look at the pic with the original superimposed on the other two, there is a big difference in the location of the Y. that difference is where the pipe goes around the lt77 drain plug. thes pipes go directly over the lt 77 drain plug.

Some definite difference there between what you need and what you got.

I'd send them all back, forget the proline brand completely. Snag a CATCO part # 9702.
Fit perfectly in mine, though you will again have to block off the two back O2 ports as it's made to fit 1994-1997. Probably end up costing you less too.
