Hi Doug! Thanks for the greeting and compliment. Yours isn't so bad either. Lots of nice Land Rovers on this site. I like it! Also, thanks for mentioning D-90's site. Been meaning to register here but never got around to it until the time you mentioned it.

Good morning Mike, It was in Tunisia in May 2005.

Fantastic sand, big heat, dust, wind and good land rovering... It was a fantastic trip, we've done it with 5 4x4 with GPS and fantastic book (guide gandini) which give some GPS point.

We found this... In the middle of nowhere... (Approx 20 kms from first town)

Remember?

Morocco was very cool too, sand, rocks, mountains, heat, dust I still find deposits of the Sahara in nooks & crannies of the 110 when I'm working on it

Follow-up Post:

We're pretty spread out here, dust avoidance

Labor day weekend always finds me at a friend's ranch in s.e. colorado. There are beautiful petroglyphs and pictographs to be found up and down the canyon walls. Also nearly unlimited wheelin' in sandstone canyon country, with nice river crossings. -Last pic-- can't go thru Rocky Ford without picking up some famous cantelope and some of that cherry cider! Damn, I love harvest season.

Haven't posted any pics in a while, mostly because I've been working and haven't had the time to go out.

Anyway, here are a few I dug up, some from this past weekend in the Appalachicola National Forest, nothing crazy... just a good time.

That was the nervous part because I really couldn't see anything through that one and just felt the truck sinking but it made it through that water ...

I REALLY need to get some front diff protection and steering protection big time. I saw a recent post on that in the tech section...

On to the next purchase...

defenderpillar

finally got around to painting my 110. Ex MoD 110, colour is Caterpillar yellow from the local farm implement place.

added 5.5watt solar panel, deep cycle battery, cheapo fridge, 15 gal water tank and pump, headlining (marine carpeting), overhead console, stall mat for rear floor, sprayed in bed lining, plus my favourite, shore power, that's right shore power, I can plug an extension cord in to power my block heater, cab heater and battery charger etc etc etc

sound proofing is next plus a roof rack I think

Great pics Michael.
That's some beautiful country. Where were they taken, and what's the monument to?
