Your Notifications stays on

Anyone have a problem using Chrome with the "Your Notifications: N (where N = a positive whole number)" containing to flash even though you went to unread private messages and actually opened, replied to the message.
This just started yesterday.
Cleared the cache and cookies are enabled.
Checked remember me on log in.
Any Ideas or suggestions?

I get that occasionally when I use the "back" button after replying or reading. Reloading D90 forum homepage works to clear it for me when it happens.

It's been doing this for sometime on mine, click and read a second time it goes away. Chrome also.

Have figured out what's happening.
I never use the back button.
Get a private unread message notification.
After viewing the message the highlite flashing may or may not go out.
When it goes out it's because there are no new messages.
When it stays on there is a new message for me, that doesn't display on the message page.
When I log off and log back on the message shows up on the message page.
This is something that just started in the past 2 days.
