You guys are trouble...

I ended up looking at Copley's page and saw the blue '77 p/u. That things cool!

But the prices... Holy schmoley!

Last thing I need now is to be looking at 30 y.o. Rovers in the mid $30k range! What do those go for realistically? While I'm dreaming of old trucks I don't need.

No, I'm not shopping (yet? ). I just like them, and wonder what it'd cost to get one.

9-11 thousand is realistic for a truck that needs some work but it running and driving. Restored and need very little or all original can bring up to 40K.

Sigh... Ah, well. Someday. That 77 p/u is awesome, though. Not sure why I like the Series so much lately (lately when I've been fighting the RR on the final details before another inspection!).

I am kinda curious to see what that `95 disco listed will actually go for. it looks great, but $23k for a `95 disco strikes me as a bit much

I thought I was the only one that did that for (non-human) porn. Funny thing is she catches me and says "what was that, porn, LOL?" And I have to admit, yes, it was. Bike porn, boat porn, and now sometims Rover porn...

I hope that previous post didn`t come off as me trying to talk down on Copley/ you personally... i`m just saying that fact of the matter is, it`s an old Disco, and for that kind of money, I could score a 2004 Disco with equivalent miles. I understand the appeal of it as a well preserved example of the original Disco, but fact of the matter is I have seen `95 5 speed Discos with 60-90k miles go for as little as $4k on up to $10k for one I saw with a tad over 60k miles. I guess we`ll see what the market can bare.

I came by when I was first looking at Defenders. You guys have some beautiful trucks, but I wasn`t quite looking for the collector quality examples that you offer. Both you and Stuart were really informative though, and I appreciate it. With any luck maybe someday i`ll be able to pick up one of those beautiful 110's you offer.

A good series truck is 7-9k. restored 12-15k.

You can have my 59 with a gavlanized frame and 43k original miles for $8500.

It's never come up as to what I paid for my trucks, the girlfriend has justed assumed 10 year old trucks weren't that much. Then one day she calls me up from work, b*tch'n that a co-worker of hers (some guys who wants one) showed her Copley's website. She tells me if I can spend that much on Defenders, that she wants a comparably priced ring. Tried explaining that I've never been anywhere near Copleys and I didn't know what the benefit was of an expensive ring...needless to say, it hasn't gone over well!

The Rover Porn has bitten me in the arse!

Thank god this thread started now, and not 2 weeks ago. I have been toying with getting a Series for some time now. The prices listed are spot on for sales over the last 4 months. Unfortunately, living in SoCal both my wife and I work and she got laid off last week. There goes that idea.
At least there is roverporn and I love that site! Additions to it? Other than club music is a "woody" version of the Defender - wrong on so many levels.
Now the random questions - that pix of the new Defender dash. Would it fit the NAS 90s as an upgrade?
