I got the smaller version for $7 I think.
Works great and I won't be pissed if it breaks.

Same for the Walmart Ozark coolers and are rather unobtainable at the moment.

And clearly shows how the previous Chinese manufacturer of the Yeti can not only copy the US company's design, but also successfully sell off the copies they developed through their relationship with Yeti to another US company with impunity.

All this time I thought Yeti was made in the USA.

Designed and engineered in the US, manufactured and then copied in China.

Yeti didn't "design" anything, in my opinion. Think back to middle school science class where your teacher used liquid nitrogen to freeze ping pong balls.

That nitrogen was in a double wall vacuum container very similar to a yeti rambler.

Jafir, I have the authentic Yeti 30oz and I just got an Ozark Trail 30 oz. and they work exactly the same.
They look identical except for the branding; they had to made in the same factory.

I was disputing that they might be made in the same factory. I'm just suggesting that the technology likely isn't patented. Or if it is, it shouldn't be. Because it's old, old tech.

Ozark used to sell their own version of the can colster as well. I saw a display of 4 of them at the local Walmart and bought them all as well as the remaining stock of the 30oz ramblers. Employee said I was lucky to find them and said Yeti is supposedly suing Walmart and they have discontinued the "Cold1 Koozie" as of a couple months ago, quick online search verified that. Wonder why they didn't discontinue the cups though. Can't find the coolers anywhere.

It seems yeti has a patent for the colster, which makes sense, that seems unique or at least I've never seen anything like it, for whatever that is worth. That's probably why the Walmart versions aren't at the store anymore.

The tumblers portion of the lawsuit is "trade dress" so a quick Google search says. It will be interesting to see what happens. My closest store had dozens of the 30oz versions. I didn't see any of the 20oz, but I wasn't looking too hard.

There are places very, very close by where I'd fit in just fine with a chipped or missing tooth.

John,
What exactly goes on during those long Canadian winters or should we not ask?

I'm a believer as well- across the board. Biased? Yes, they're designed in Austin, so I'm biased. Even my company wanted to get in on the action, but to be "tactical" we only sell them after they've been Cerakoted. Granted, that's pretty badass... ALso it's a good way to make something that's already ridiculously expensive more expensive. Kind of like an LS3 in a defender

My buddy did a product test of the WalMart version, the RTIC and the YETI. I was honestly surprised by the results. I thought my YETI was superior...not so much...
