Yet another import/export query

Hi all,

This is my first post here, I'm usually over on defender2.net. I live in England, not far from Oxford, where I spend my time fiddling around with my Landies.

I recently sorted some minor issues on a mid '80s ex-MOD 110, and I was going to giver it to me aul fella for his birthday - as he really likes this particular 110 from my wee herd.. however he now lives in New York.

Looking at the cost for RO-RO vs. containers and the cost of Landies stateside, the cost of shipping one over doesn't seem exorbitantly expensive.

Was curious if anyone who has trodden the well-worn path of importing Defenders into the US could possibly recommend an importer and/or broker? I've imported cars into the UK from Europe, but going across the ocean is a slightly different kettle of fish!

Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation - I've just dropped him a line.

We had been considering renting a container and shipping over my 110 Puma and a tent trailer, in order to drive around and see the US for a few months before coming back. Sounds like Doug would be the right person to speak to about this as well.
