That's cool. Except I don't understand why you'd need a CF propshaft in a Rover. They're small and don't weigh much, and I don't think there's an engine you could put in there there that makes 1376 Nm.

Yeah, the impact issues are real. I'd think most flying objects would not be an issue, but any scraping might be horrible.

I'm just thinking saving weight in as many ways as possible is a good thing.

Still better even under impacts. Don't believe it? Look at Pivot's or Santa Cruz's carbon tests for bike frames or black diamonds tests for ice tools.

Carbon composite is probably not a good idea for impact and/or abrasion resistance )

That said, i would love affordable full carbon body panels and bulkheads

A CF bulkhead would be incredible.

Impressive strength of the CF driveshaft but 2,500 (quid?)?!

And it is a rotating mass so I bet on race applications it might show a little extra performance.
