Yea or Nay?

Opinions on match the factory color to the diamond wing protector, sills guard, rear corner pieces and the rear cross-member...found on ebay.

Yea or Nay? Considering do the same to my AA Yellow...probably not the cross-member though.

IMO it makes it look like it has a cheap paint job where they forgot to tape off/ remove parts before painting.
Its just too much color.

Thats a huge nay. I've never seen a painted piece of checker plate that I though looked good (thin on the edges of the tread pattern, thick in the center). Plus to me it defeats the purpose of putting some protective cover on the body - if its bare aluminum or anodized then its a tougher surface than paint, and you can walk on it or scratch is.

I'd have to say Nay! The rear cross member in particular looks terrible IMHO, and like Mike mentions, makes it look like someone sprayed it in their back yard. The Diamond plate is a little more subjective, but personally I don't care for it either. I always liked the Yellow, White and Red trucks the best (though I have a thing for the 'classic-ness' of the Green& Blue) because of the contrast between the colors and the black frame, roll cage, bumpers and top, this truck has lost most of that contrast. Yuck! Okay, don't forget you asked for Opinions..

LOL, I tend to agree with you guys. I just really hate my black wing protectors on my truck and not really happy with the idea of shelling out $400 plus dollars each to replace the wing tops.

Just take them off for the time being, polish the wingtops back to a shine, and stick something in the holes. Maybe a dome head hex drive bolt or something, not chewing gum.

Nay! Concur with all the negative comments above. I like the contrast between the body color and the protectors. I have black ones on my Arles Blue 90....

haha, I saw that one yesterday and hated it. I have never liked the body color 5-bar unless it is black on a black truck. The cross member looks awful to me too! Definitely leave it stock colors!

You should of set up a poll with different suggestions like candy flake apple red white and blue or true flame 5 bar

Personally I think 5 bar should be nothing but polished aluminum.

Not sure if it's just a camera/lighting issue or if the paint color is slightly off on that truck. Painting the cross-member yellow was a bad idea.

The truck looks clean though, you can always paint the crossmember black again.

If you paint them it also needs:

1. Aluminum grill
2. Polished aluminum trim
3. 16x10 tonka-style rims with 33x15s
4. Stock size spare with armor-all glossy black LR tire cover
